2nd Annual College Summit NY Awards

On May 25, 2011 high school students from across New York City gathered at B.B. Kings Blues Club in Times Square to celebrate their hard work in preparing for college during the past school year through a program by College Summit.  The organization uses tools and opportunities to ready high school juniors and seniors for a collegiate education as well as provide financial support for tuition.

The 2nd Annual College Summit New York Awards provided high school students with recognition for their tireless work and Russel Simmons served as the keynote speaker.  His primary message to the students was to become friends with everyone and stay close to those who are successful and will become even more successful in life.
