December is the most popular month for destination weddings in Central Park; it’s a time when the holiday season is in full swing in New York. Yesterday, on December 1, Nicola and Darren, were married at the Belvedere Castle in Central Park. Typically, the weather in December in Manhattan is dry and cold. On this day, however, the cold was not a factor, the rain and wind were the elements causing the most trouble; it was 61 degrees with pouring rain and wind gusts of 30mph.

Despite the weather, the wedding ceremony was a success and the vows were certainly very emotional. Nicola and Darren were schedule to be married last year in New York but due to a medical emergency, Nicola had to postpone her wedding day. As a result, the exchange of vows took on a very special meaning for both the bride and groom. They were grateful to have made it to this day, and their love for each other was very clear.
